To promote, support and advance the profession of Occupational Health Nursing. To accomplish this mission, MAOHN will:

1. Promote and/or provide continuing education in occupational and environmental health nursing.
2. Promote health and safety of workers and communities and support occupational and environmental health nursing practice through monitoring and influencing state legislation and regulations.
3. Promote occupational and environmental health nursing through public relations activities.
4. Provide opportunities for members to develop association leadership skills.
5. Enhance internal communications.
6. Attract and retain members.
7. Ensure adequate resources to secure organizational growth and stability.
